New Zealand night skies are arguably the best in the world for star gazing and capturing the beauty of the Milky Way and the Aurora Australis. 

From April to October every year, you'll find me seeking clear skies for opportunities to shoot the Milky Way under a variety of incredible landscapes. The stars look equally amazing captured above snowy mountains, coastal beach rock formations, flowing rivers and reflected in calm lakes. Star trails are also a great phenomenon to shoot given the right conditions and south facing location.
